1915 Star trio correctly named 364903 F A STEPHENS O.C. 1 R.N  RNLS Medal same details HMS WARSPITE . Mounted as worn with copy service papers . Frederick Albert Stephens born 5th December 1885 in Plymouth enlisted 1911 and served on many ships as an Officers Cook including Cleopatra and London during WW1. Later HMS Hood and pensioned ashore 1928 . Interestingly then served RFSR Royal Fleet Service Pensioner 1938 and served on various ships as an Officers Cook through to 1941 . Long service group to an interesting and not often seen Officers Cook £180

Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Medal GV correctly named to J4948 (PO B 16414 ) W G SANDERS AB RFR.William George Sanders was born Coventry 30 March 1892, he joined the Royal Navy on 30th March 1910 serving on many ships until he volunteers for submarine service at Dolphin in 1916 and then serves on E43 and  E54 in 1917. In 1918 he is serving on submarine C12 when on the 6th Octoberl 1918 it was sunk   C12 was built by Vickers, Barrow. She was laid down on 27 November 1906 and was commissioned on 19 January 1908. Following a main motor failure C12 was driven by the tide against a destroyer lying at the Eastern Jetty, Immingham and was holed and sank on the 6th October 1918. She was salvaged and recommissioned. She was sold on 2 February 1920.
His service docs ADM118 are annotated “commended for his good service on the occasion of the sinking of Submarine C12 on 6 Oct 1918”. He continues in the submarine service and joins the RFR 7th Oct 1926 and his RFR number B16414 confirmed on service papers. £100

Thomas Closh Petherick was born 18 June 1898 and died 23 October 1969, he was a wireless operator trained by the Post Office  and later ran a garage at Princetown on Dartmoor. resided at Tavistock devon for a while. £80

3rd Div is Devonport Docyyard which wa policed by Metropolitan Police at the this time  .

 Thomas Carroll  joined 26/08/1878 with the Warrant No 63053

His first posting was Devonport 3rd Viv and he retired as a PS serving in Y Div (Highgate) 31/08/1903 having completed 25 years service for pension.

He was promoted to PS and transferred to Portsmouth Dockyard (2nd Div) 12/10/1892 and then subsequently served in T Div (Hammersmith) and Y Div (Highgate), With copied Pension records from Ancestry. £100
